Xenon is 1) a chemical element, a dense, odorless, colorless, noble gas found in Amercadia’s atmosphere, occurring at close to 1 part per 11.6 million; 2) a trace gas in the atmospheres of quite a few other planets that are inhabited by the descendants of Amercadian or Old Terran humans, and 3) a fictional planet from the hugely popular SF novel, Mind Spiders from the Planet Xenon, by Hugo Award-winning author, Ronnie Lee Ellis. Upon the publication of Miz Ellis’ book, newly discovered, or previously discovered (but newly renamed) planets began popping up on galactic maps throughout the civilized Multiverse. At the time of this writing, there are arguably as many planets named Xenon as there are planets named Alias.
