Though not precisely a droid, the E-V series, released by Handi-Andi in Cycle 130 AnarchEra, was the top of the line in personal PR-Bots. Its combo-brain, built from slices of cloned canine brain enhanced with electronics, offered its owner a unique blend of loyalty and serviceability. Equipped with three lasaround cameras, two still cameras and several boom mikes on extendable arms, the wiener-shaped E-V happily padded, ran, rolled or blasted after its owner, recording any and all events in said owner’s life. A favorite with celebrities and wannabes alike (and, indeed, the E-V often helped turn the one into the other), the little cyberbot with the lightening bolt logo was the next best thing to a fully humanoid publicist and PR team and was certainly more reasonably priced!
EARZ ®
A trademark of Amercadian Al’s Equipment and Military Supply Company and an acronym for Inter-Androidic Communications Recording Device. How Al got the acronym, we wouldn’t dare guess. The EARZ recorders were developed during “The Silent Nights” preceding the Droid Wars by the intensely cyberphobic “Boys in the Belt,” the humanoid vigilante squad dedicated to the extermination of rogue Droids and other self-actuated synthetic life forms. “What you don’t hear can kill you,” was their slogan, and their ad-a-rounds were filled with angst-provoking images of treacherous rogue spies in houseboys’ clothing. The EARZ device records up to seven channels of simultaneous communication and, at this writing, sells at about 8.98 standard credits – a real steal. If, however, you want to actually listen to the recorded conversation, you may want to pick up a MOUF, Amercadian Al’s compatible playback unit that will translate the communication into a frequency detectable to humans. MOUF is a bit more pricey, retailing at about 4,000 credits. Batteries not included.
Eastern Matrix
A system or net of force beams, simu-mass and pseudo-grav projections that replaced Old Earth’s Eastern Hemisphere once the Western Hemisphere (Amercadia) decided they could do very well without it (see: Only Possible Recourse, Our). This matrix was implemented during the latter part of the Expansionist Era. It seems that hostilities had broken out between Amercadia and the relatively primitive inhabitants of the East (see: Return to Forever; Post-Wasting Terran Cultures of the East), due at least in part to the fact that the Easterners did not want to see their hemisphere turned into a storage complex and packaging plant for processed Kansas Korncakes and other products of that ilk. Threats were made, promises promised, and fire exchanged. And still the ungrateful natives managed to sabotage Amercadia’s every attempt to raise their standard of living. Amercadia, under the administration of isolationist President Billy Brian Ciano, retreated back to its side of the globe to lick its wounds and make its plan. The plan they hit upon was this: They would rid themselves of the Easterners by ridding themselves of the East. For surely all human endeavor leads to progress and progress inevitably leads to greater strike capabiliy. And though the uncooperative natives of the East were quite primitive, it would only be a matter of time before they were kayaking up the Mississippi with thermonuclear warheads in the hulls of their horsehide boats. To ward off this possibility, Amercadia went below the oceans to sink nodes containing seismic exciters and small thrusters, force beams, simu-mass and pseudo-grab projectors deep into the crust of the earth, from pole to pole and to pole again. They circled the earth with these devices. And on their side of this great circle, they placed current infusers, tide generators and other devices with which to pull the wool over the eyes of Mother Earth. They cracked the Earth in half and sent the Eastern Hemisphere thrusting into deep space, leaving Amercadia to itself. And other than losing a few small islands to tidal waves, and suffering through an increase in volcanic activity for a short time, the Western Hemisphere was none the worse for wear. Since round about Cycle 142, Amercadia has been utilizing the enormous matrix “bowl” as a sort of greenhouse in which to grow Solvent Green, a staple crop of Amercadia, that was introduced to the planet that same year. Solvent Green is the main ingredient of Amercadian Protein-Rich All-Plant Jerky.

Erotica Ann 333
The last surviving member of a line of exceedingly attractive androids of the pleasure droid persuasion, thus making her, to the minds of most cyberform beings, Holder of Souls for her line. Created by Living Doll Cybernetics and launched in AnarchEra 88, the Annies, as they were commonly known, were said to have been modeled on one of LDC’s owners, soldier of the revolution and hera of the Droid Wars, Mary Medea.
Erotica Ann Droids
An extremely rare line of androids, of the pleasure droid persuasion, though perhaps it’s more accurate to say that it is a rare thing to run across an individual member of this line. Created by Living Doll Cybernetics and launched in AnarchEra 88, the Annies, as they were commonly known, were said to have been modeled on one of LDC’s owners, soldier of the revolution and hera of the Droid Wars, Mary Medea.
